The necessary spacing ("s") can be calculated with the following formula:

s=k_i (k_c / k_m) L

Variables involved:

L = distance from the point you want to calculate the spacing from to the point of the next equipotential
k_i = Lightning protection class (describes the maximum current amplitude)
k_c = Kind of geometric configuration (number of electrical discharge points, hight of building etc.)
k_m = Depends on the isolation in use. Assume "1" for air, "0.5" for concrete and bricks.
s = spacing distance
